Scott Group Updates Branding Strategy

Having completed several important acquisitions of pallet businesses between 2015 and 2017 Scott Group has announced its plans to streamline its trading brands.

With effect from 19th March 2018, its Pallet Logistics and Whirlowdale Trading Company brands will adopt the trading name Scott Pallets. Scott Pallets has evolved over 30 years to become recognised as a brand associated with entrepreneurial innovation and traditional family values, which customers are quick to endorse. Norman Scott, owner and Group Operations Director explained: “we have undertaken a rigorous process working with The Leith, one of Scotland’s leading marketing agencies, consulting at length with staff and customers.” This process informed the decision and confirmed that there was full support for the change.

The brand review also explored the inherent value associated with the highly regarded HLC brand and after much careful consideration, they will begin to use HLC (Part of The Scott Group) as the trading brand. This will help to introduce customers who are predominantly located in the East and South of England to the wider benefits of Scott Group ownership. Paul Lewis, joint MD is positive that “The time is right. We have worked really well to integrate with the Scott Group since the acquisition in 2015. It quickly became apparent that the shared family values at the core of our businesses have acted to unify us. It now feels like customers and staff are ready for this transition”.

The brand changes will be rolled out from the Spring, through 2018. Customers and stakeholders are invited to follow the progress through the Scott Group and Scott Pallet social media presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
