As we continue to expand our range of sustainable pallet solutions, and organically grow our business year on year, we’ll be continuing to recruit so it’s vital we build on the strength of our business units by finding and retaining talented, tenacious and customer focussed people.“

Background

Following a successful recruitment campaign during 2021, Scott Group filled 126 vacancies throughout the UK across a wide variety of roles from HGV drivers and general operatives to finance and HR.

In tandem with this, the business continued to invest in new capital equipment such as a Cape tandem pallet manufacturing machine at its Barry site, and a Cekamon reconditioned pallet sorting machine at the Bathgate.  In response to the increased demand for heat-treated pallets as a result of Brexit, it has also been adding to its kiln capacity throughout its nationwide network of pallet manufacturing sites with two new kilns installed during 2021 and a further four in planning.
