New appointments in our pallet business

Following the re-organisation of our pallet businesses earlier in the year, we are delighted to have made two key senior appointments. Scott Grant (left) has been appointed as Managing Director of our Manufacturing Business Unit, and he is joined by Stuart McNair (right), our new Supply Chain Director.

In his role, Scott has full responsibility for all our manufacturing businesses operating under Scott Pallets and HLC (Part of the Scott Group) brands.

He joins us from Morris & Spottiswood, a family-owned business operating in the construction sector, and prior to that has had a successful career working in senior positions at Havelock Europa and Ainscough Crane Hire, where he gained valuable experience working in a multi-site environment.

Stuart, who reports directly to Scott, now carries responsibility for all timber and general purchasing activities. He brings a wealth of professional experience to our business having previously held senior purchasing roles within the aerospace industry and most recently as Procurement Director for Havelock International.

Both roles are based in our Fife head office.

Alan Gibson, who continues in his role as Managing Director of the combined Manufacturing and Reconditioned pallet businesses at Group Board level, said: “This is an exciting step for the future of our business as we continually look for ways to improve our operational excellence. As well as introducing new talent to our business, the evolved structure opens up new opportunities and greater potential for career progression for our existing staff.”
