As a result of continuing short-term uncertainty and disruption to customer demand, to best guarantee customer service and efficiency, we have decided to partially close some of our pallet manufacturing sites for a temporary period and concentrate operations on selected key sites. This forms part of our standard business continuity measures and will have no impact on service levels.
Operationally, we remain adequately resourced, and our supply chain is more than sufficient for the current business need. In particular, as customers emerge from periods of suspended activity themselves, any advance notification will be mutually beneficial.
This notice does not concern our Scott Direct business which continues to trade as normal. The Group continues to operate as an essential business within the food, pharmaceutical, healthcare and personal protective equipment (PPE) sectors.
