We have worked with the UK’s leading bottled water producer, Highland Spring Group (HSG), for many years, supplying pallets to its Scottish HQ in the heart of Perthshire where its natural spring water is bottled at source.
Most recently, we worked alongside HSG operations and procurement teams to develop a new pallet design specifically to meet the needs of the export market, and to fit into the new warehouse racking system at its Blackford site.
Using the specialist Pallet Design Software (PDS), we produced the new kiln-dried ISPM15 compliant pallet that provides HSG with a cost effective, fit-for-purpose pallet, to fit into its new racking, and helps ensure safe transit of the bottled water on its journey around the world.
HSG is supplied by our state-of-the-art facility at Burntisland in Fife, Scotland, where our ISPM15 pallets are manufactured and kiln-dried to an average 15% moisture content. This ensures that the pallets are kept in tip top condition, in particular, lessening the likelihood of staining throughout their long periods of time in storage, whilst the bottled water product remains shrink wrapped on the pallets during transit.
Michael Bodeau, Assistant Procurement Manager at HSG, said: “We were very happy to work with Scott Pallets on this important project. They responded quickly with a pallet that is fit for purpose, within budget, and to the correct specification. These pallets are now used for all our export business and have facilitated easier stock-handling. They also provide a sturdier solution that can withstand the shipping and multiple handling processes in transit to our customers. We’re delighted with the outcome.”
