We are recruiting for our Scott Direct Division which offers customers, in a wide variety of industrial sectors, a one stop shop for a comprehensive range of essentials. We want to ensure that your ordering process is smooth and efficient so our products and services are available mail order, online and at retail outlets in Grangemouth, Shetland and Stirling where our customers include members of the public, trade and business account holders.

We have a great opportunity for you to join our Scott Direct team in the position of Distribution Hub Operative. We have 2 permanent positions available, primarily working as a Picker but you will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of our Distribution area.

Job Role

The Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking

  • Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and Product type is picked for packing check. Transport orders to packing area identify or mark orders as requested.

Quality

  • Ensure picks are accurate reflecting the pick note precisely and free of damage.

Equipment

  • Operate forklift in performance of order filling duties when required.

Inventory

  • Conduct physical inventory checks as directed by the supervisor

House Keeping

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the housekeeping standards of the warehouse.

Safety

  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with health and safety regulations and standards.

Skills & Experience

  • previous experience of working in a warehouse or distribution environment is required. In particular working in a high volume fast moving goods inward environment.
  • Computer literate with a high level of numeric & written skills, attention to detail is required
