Production Planning Manager – Manufacturing

Peterborough, York, Ellesmere Port, Burntisland

From whisky to construction, and packaging to chemicals, our new pallets are used by businesses in every industrial sector throughout the UK to safely and sustainably transport their goods throughout the global supply chain.  We manufacture around 16.5 million pallets each year!

We have a national network of well-invested manufacturing facilities that bring together operational excellence, high-quality products, and outstanding customer service. This is underpinned by our exemplary supply chain partnerships that ensure unparalleled security of supply for our customers.

We combine the volume savings of a national organisation with the presence of a local supplier; setting the standard across the market through innovation, quality and service. Our reputation is built upon the values of a family business and the professionalism of a market leader.

The opportunity has arisen for the implementation of a Production Planning Manager within our Manufacturing Business. Reporting to the Regional Director, this role will drive a standard process which optimises sales and operational planning to ensure efficient flow of customer demands through to timber requirements across the whole manufacturing group.

In order to achieve optimised sales you will develop a planning process that utilises our internal system (Navision) for all manufacturing sites, whilst monitoring demands and trends to allow for improved forecasting and future accuracy to be implemented.

You will be responsible for building and developing relations with the sales team and site leaders in order to facilitate a maintained oversight of complete demand and to drive the accuracy of inventory transactions, whilst managing slow moving and obsolete stock.

As an experienced Production Planning Manager you will have vast experience in sales forecasting and resource management preferably for multi-sites and ideally in the implementation of new planning processes.  You should be flexible in your approach within this fast paced environment with a proven track record of driving productivity and planning whilst being mindful of ever changing demands.

Excellent attention to detail and competency in decision making and problem solving is key to success.

Think you have what it takes?  If so, we want to hear for you.
