Production Planner – Manufacturing


Job Title:                               Production Planner

Reporting To:                       Plant Manager

Hours of Work:                    08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday

Salary:                                  £30,000 per annum

Your role:

As a result of continuous growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Site Production Planner to join our manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for leading the planning function in this busy manufacturing environment.

The role holder will be responsible for planning of production, including cutting and auxiliary procedures and checking material availability prior to production planning. Issuing pick lists to yard team and ensuring all materials are in the right place before commencement of production are key to success in this role. Issuing works orders to the production team, tracking progress and closing off once completed are key aspects to ensure we can successfully meet our customer demand on time and in full.

In addition, translating long term demand into daily / weekly / monthly production schedule in line with material planning along with clear communication and escalation of issues in a timely manner to ensure that these are brought to resolution are key to success.

You will have experience in a fast-paced production planning environment and have the ability to demonstrate working under initiative and think things through to solution, be decisive, pro-active and assertive.
