The opportunity has arisen for a Site Production Manager to join our manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for leading the planning function in this busy manufacturing environment.

Responsible for planning of production, including cutting and auxiliary procedures, checking material availability prior to production planning. Issuing pick list to FLT department, ensuring all materials are in the right place before commencement of production. Issuing works orders to the production team and tracking progress, and closing off once completed.

Translate long term demand into daily / weekly / monthly production schedule in line with material planning. Clear communication and escalation of issues in a timely manner to ensure that these are brought to resolution so that unavoidable shortages are proactively communicated to affected customers.

Re-schedule and communicate changes to the finite schedule caused by Raw materials, breakdowns, poor production performance or quality issues to the business

Do you have experience in a fast-paced production planning environment and have the ability to demonstrate working under initiative and think things through to solution, be decisive, pro-active and assertive.
