The opportunity has arisen for a Materials Controller to join our procurement team based at Head Office, Dunfermline.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, this role has responsibility for ensuring the business is supported in timber availability, moving stock from docks and other sites to ensure optimum site availability of stock and minimal additional costs.
You will work with colleagues in Procurement, Supply Chain and Administration across the group to ensure that timber requirements are fully met; ensuring swift and accurate stock transfers, while minimising stock levels to achieve a sustainable balance between stock out risk versus working capital. Monitoring stock reports and end stock valuations, you will maintain robust data system integrity while managing the delivery performance of our suppliers, maintaining site KPIs and actively seeking opportunities to improve processes.
Ideally with experience and understanding of the unique timber supply processes; you will have a proven ability to deliver to tight and conflicting deadlines, be confident and resilient in your approach, diligent in managing complex data and experienced in MS packages (particularly Excel, with a working knowledge of Navison.)
