It’s an exciting time in the HR Function, we have a new People Strategy for our growing business. We have an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our business. Reporting directly to the Group HR Director, you will have responsibility for delivering a value added, customer focused, operational HR service for Group businesses. Delivering people processes enabling the employee lifecycle and supporting achievement of the People Strategy.

This role will business partner leaders and lead people shared services across the group businesses. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, pragmatic and creative HR generalist to work from the “hands on” to the strategic. Comfortable with business partnering, shared services, employee relations, reward and policy development, this is a role that has breadth & depth.

A strong track record of leading HR teams, business partnering and shared service delivery, enabling commercial people solutions, will be required.

This is a fast paced business that has grown by acquisition, therefore practical experience of TUPE would be useful. Ideally you will have industry experience in a multi-site, customer focused business, with an operational focus.

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate the achievement of formal qualifications within HR as well as being able to evidence continuous professional development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development the Operational people plan to deliver strategic people goals, projects and operational HR.
  • Lead coach & develop the team members to deliver continuous improvements to people processes and policies so that Manager’s capability is improved, a people centric culture is created and colleagues feel that they are heard and treated fairly and consistently.
  • Develop the capability of managers to generate solutions for employee relations acquisition and change issues so that we treat colleagues consistently in line with our employee brand and legislation.
  • Review and provide solutions to business leaders in respect of employee contractual terms, reward and benefits so that consistency, fairness and transparency is maximised.
  • Deliver and develop the People Shared Service Functions to deliver business and legislative compliance in respect of Resourcing, Payroll Process, HR systems, HR Administration and people policies & procedures.
  • People insight, Data and MI provision to inform business leaders to develop continuous improvements and make informed decisions.
