The opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join our procurement team based at Head Office, Dunfermline.

Reporting to the Non Timber Procurement Manager, this role will be responsible for a range of non-timber commodities within the group.

You will engage with managers within the group to understand the changing needs of each commodity, whilst developing a purchasing strategy and ensuring contracts are fit for purpose. In order to work within budget it is imperative that tenders are accurately checked to ensure the most competitive contracts are available. You will manage vendor performance by way of regular meetings with all necessary stakeholders.

As an experienced Buyer you will appreciate internal stakeholders value, have profound knowledge of tender process management and contract drafting. Experience of report writing is a must along with proven commercial analysis.  Key to your success is having a confident and resilient personality with great attention to detail.
