Automation Supervisor

One of our plants in Barry near Cardiff are seeking a Automation supervisor for our automated lines to join our talented team, supporting Production Manager and Planning/Logistics Manager with productivity and Continuous Improvement skills and techniques to deliver the business KPI’s.

Key Duties

  • Communicate with Shift team leaders to meet the desired output and quality targets.
  • Leading by example you will engage the team to achieve company goals.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture using Lean Techniques maximizing efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Ensures efficient operation of the production process through inspiring the team with an open communication culture.
  • Ensures that all standards of safety, hygiene and quality are met.

Skills Required

  • In-depth knowledge and previous experience in production processes.
  • Decision making skills
  • People management skills, strong communication skills on all levels
  • Problem solving and process improvement experience.
  • The ability to maximise efficiency and reduce waste through continuous improvement techniques.

Health and Safety

  • A proven track record in adhering and promoting H&S.
  • Complying with H&S policies
  • Safety investigations.
  • Accident records and procedure for dealing with accidents.
  • Fire evacuation drills.
  • COSHH controls.
