The Scott Group’s 2012 sales conference was held in April at Dunfermline’s Carnegie Hall and sponsored by BSW Timber Group, the largest sawmilling business in the UK and a trusted supplier of timber to the Scott Group.
Eve Johnson, Group Marketing Manager at BSW, said: “The Scott Group conference presented BSW Timber Group with the ideal opportunity to support and network with one of our key trading partners. It also gave us an excellent platform to showcase the full breadth of our product offering aside from the day to day pallet and packaging range that we supply to the Group.”
With delegates from across the Scott Group sales team, the primary focus was to promote cross-selling opportunities throughout the business. Helping all divisions enhance the service and product offering to all customers; becoming, where possible, a one-stop-shop, fullservice provider.
The agenda also focused on promoting the importance of improving our customer care. The sales forces were taken through the results of the customer care survey, which was sent to the Group’s existing customer base, to establish a benchmark level of service to improve upon.
A number of suppliers were sponsors of the event and used the conference as an opportunity to exhibit and promote their business?s products and services. Our delegates visited each stand to discuss the latest industry developments to enhance their technical competence in their field of expertise.
