John went on to acquire numerous related businesses and establish the Group's first overseas operation in Latvia. His business success has been recognised by The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards when he was named Scottish Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002, and Entrepreneur of the Year - Scotland in 2006. He has gone on to win the Regional Award for Fife and the Microsoft Young Director Award at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year Awards 2004. 

 

In 2007, HRH Princess Anne, presented John with the SBAAT Young Achievers Award. Most recently, John has served as a board member for the Entrepreneurial Exchange and also as a judge for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2009 and 2010.

 

John is currently engaged with Scott Pallets in Latvia as Business Development Director and operates across Europe.
